Owners John and Beth Mackey called the Adirondacks home for a long time before officially moving to Keene full-time in 2014. John produces the local, organic spirits of Gristmill Distillers. He runs Tamarack Mountain Guiding, Inc., a rock & ice climbing guide service offering outdoor adventures in the Adirondack Park and beyond. When he's not guiding, he works with world-renowned artists Mike + Doug Starn on their Big Bambu projects. Beth works in IT/data analysis and writes the Living Smart Living Small blog about their experience moving to the Adirondacks. They live in Keene with their two young children.
